Today in 1541, Catherine Howard, Queen of England and fifth wife to Henry VIII was confined to her quarters at Hampton Court Palace awaiting interrogation for her suspected infidelities during and before her marriage to Henry. Her first questions came from the Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Cranmer and Catherines Uncle, the Duke of Norfolk.
Next in 1619, Elizabeth Stuart, daughter of James I and VI was crowned Queen of Bohemia three days after her husband was crowned King. They would only rule Bohemia for a short time, but her descendants would rule England as the House of Hanover.
