1962 – Prince Rainier III of Monaco signs a revised version of the countries Constitution, which changed the division of power between the throne and the Councils of Government, with more power going to the legislation.

Birthdays:
1545 – Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley is born in Northern England. He has a claim to both the English ans Scottish crowns as a descendant of James II of Scotland and as a grandson of Henry VII of England, through his daughter Margaret’s second marriage. Later, he would marry Mary, Queen of Scots as her second husband, fathering James VI and I of Scotland and England with her.

1724 – Louise of Great Britain is born to George II and Caroline of Ansbach in London. She married Prince Frederick of Denmark and Norway and had four children with him, including a future King of Denmark and Queen consort of Sweden. Sadly she would pass away at age 27 from complications stemming from a miscarriage.

2003 – In not-so-dead royalty, Princess Catharina Amalia of the Netherlands was born in The Hague today. She is second in line for the Dutch crown and 868th in line for the British crown.
